Point Spread - The given line to a game, or the points that a team is favored to win by over the other team. The team with a - in front of the number is favored.
Ex: Spurs +2/Lakers -2 The Lakers must win by more than 2 points for a bet on the Lakers to win. Money Line - A wager that does not involve a point spread. You are predicting which team will win the contest outright.
Ex: Spurs +240/Lakers -280 In this case the Lakers are favored. If you think the Lakers are going to win, you would have to bet $280 to win $100. A wager on the Spurs would get you $240 for a $100 bet.
Totals - A totals wager is a bet on the combined scores of both teams, including overtime, and consists of an over wager or an under wager.
Ex: Spurs 18/Lakers -2 In this case, if you believe both the Spurs and the Lakers will score more than 187 points you would bet the over. To win $100, you would bet $110. The same principle would apply for an under bet, except both teams would have to have a combined score under 187 points.
Run Line / Goal Line - These wagers use a handicap of 1 ½ runs/goals, meaning the wagering favorite must win the game by 2 runs/goals or more. Money line odds determine the price paid on each side.
Ex: Reds +1 ½ -125/Dodgers -1 ½ +145 In this example, if you think the Dodgers will win by more than 2 runs you would wager $100 to win $145.
Parlay - A parlay is a wager on more than one team. If you picked three teams, all three would need to win in order for you to collect on your bet. The odds on a parlay are greater than on a single wager. You can parlay a baseball game to a basketball game to another baseball game and so on. See the parlay pay tables.
Teaser - A teaser lets you adjust the point spread in your favor. Only football and basketball offer teaser parlays. See the parlay pay tables.
Future Wagers - As the name implies, these are wagers on future sporting events. If you like the Rams in the pro football championship next January, but its only March, you can still make the bet. The odds are locked in at the time the ticket is written. Future wagers are offered on most all sporting events.
