George Thorogood and The Destroyers: 40 Years Strong
Music Hall at House of Blues
Catch George Thorogood and The Destroyers: 40 Years Strong live in concert at House of Blues Atlantic City on June 19, 2014.
George Thorogood and The Destroyers recently celebrated 40 years of performing hard driving rock and roll. Ever since their first show in 1973, the band has traveled the world with their brand of booze & boogie rock. They’ve been a mainstay on classic rock radio with hits like “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer,“ “Move It On Over,” “Who Do You Love,” “Bad To The Bone,” “Get A Haircut,” “Treat Her Right,” “The Fixer,” and “Tail Dragger.” The boogie rock band has kept up a grinding pace, performing for loyal fans worldwide and showing no sign of slowing down.
George Thorogood and The Destroyers are working on a new album for release in early 2014. They join forces with Nashville producer Tom Hambridge, who worked with the band on the critically acclaimed record 2120 South Michigan Avenue, a tribute to Chicago blues label Chess Records. This project will consist entirely of original material, demonstrating the broad reach of George’s songwriting. George and Tom have combed through the vaults and found a hand full of nuggets that no one has heard, along with a few songs that they want to record again with a new sound.
